Kirklees Families Together
Family life can be rewarding but not always easy, the need for help and support can come at any time.
Families Together is designed to bring services together to work with families from conception, through childhood, into adolescence and up to 25 years if that young person has SEND (special educational needs and/or disability).
Kirklees Families Together offers information, advice, help and support from a range of services. This can include access to:
- help being a parent or carer
- emotional wellbeing and mental health support
- services for children under 5
- support and activities for children and young people
- adult learning and support for employment
BRITISH LIVER TRUST
The British Liver Trust are determined to achieve a change in liver health. They strive to increase awareness of liver disease and its risk factors, provide information and support for those who are affected as well as working with healthcare professionals and campaigning for earlier detection and better treatment.
Fibromyalgia Support Group
A friendly and caring support group for those living with the debilitating condition, fibromyalgia.
Hosted at the Focal Centre, New Hey Road.
Adopteens
Adopteens is a service for adopted teenagers across Yorkshire & Humber. It is for anyone who is:
- Adopted and aged between 11-17
- Lives anywhere within these local authorities, East riding, Hull, North East Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, York, Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, Wakefield. We are unfortunately no longer taking on new members from people who live in South Yorkshire.
- Has access to the internet either on their phone or computer

University of Huddersfield offer services that complement the provisions of the NHS and other social care providers. The wellbeing service help individuals to make informed positive lifestyle choices to improve their health and wellbeing.
The Get Set Goal health and wellbeing support service at the University of Huddersfield is running a series of small activity and discussion based workshops, delivered by students and professionals, designed to help with your health and wellbeing.

Support for those supporting a family member or friend with a long-term health condition.

Focal Community Centre
The Focal Community Centre, located on New Hey Road, offer a variety of support for local residents.
Wednesdays- 9am to 11am. 'Step by Step'. General support and advice with writing CVs, benfits and housing support.
Wednesdays- 10am to 12pm. Dementia Support Group.
Fridays- 12pm to 3pm. 'Chat and Compute'. IT support and socialising with locals.
